TESTIMONIALS FOR DR. J

"I just wanted to thank you for...presenting your side of the debate on the gay marriage issue a few weeks ago. Your position and reasoning was fantastic, and I appreciate the level of respect that you and Professor Gabilando displayed towards each other.

Dear Dr. Morse,

Many thanks for your recent speeches at the University of Kentucky. You spoke courageously and well on two very controversial topics, domestic partner benefits and the impact of the sexual revolution. Your talk on domestic partner benefits is being circulated now by email and is likely to have an impact on the debate over that topic in our state legislature. (A special thanks for making it available on your website.) The talk for the Veritas Forum on the sexual revolution and the alternative of "smart sex" hit just the right note -- honest and straightforward, but fundamentally positive in emphasizing the value of Christian morality. Again please accept my thanks, and may God bless you in this important work.

Sincerely,

David Bradshaw

Dr. Morse,

We appreciated your presentation. Thank you for taking
the time to speak at our school.

You gave an informative and entertaining presentation.
When my student chapter of the Federalist Society
invited you to speak at a lunch time event, I did not
know what to expect. The title of the presentation,
"Humane Alternatives to Feminism" could have meant
anything. I was afraid that your presentation might be
a loosely strung together set of policy studies and
anecdotal evidence used to support a largely religious
position. I knew my law school audience would be very
cynical and unwilling to cut you the slack a liberal
professor my receive. Instead, you thoroughly
supported all of your positions and tied them into a
well thought out conclusion. The audience seemed
impressed as they laughed about the absurd elements of
radical feminism and as you explained the destructive
potential of those policies. The audience responded
well to your proposal for society to offer women more
flexibility to balance their work and family lives.

Before your presentation, I overheard several students
say that they came to oppose your outrageous topic. I
saw them sneak out quietly during questions without
expressing any opposition. Dr. Morse, you left very
little room to argue. Your presentation satisfied the
cynics and left everyone enlightened.

Sincerely,

"I'm writing to encourage you to continue to accept invitations to speaking engagements like these....
I was more than a little disappointed in the manner in which some of my classmates chose to engage you, and I wanted to encourage you to remember
that for every person who offers only sarcastic barbs about their reproductive organs, there are (I hope) three or four more students who appreciated the talk you gave and were tested without taking it personally
or responding stridently.... So thank you, Ms.
Roback Morse, for the talk. Please accept the Federalist Society's invitation, should they invite you again. I'll be there."
